In 2018 we created Swiftchat to help brands everywhere, quickly and easily register and set-up their brand on WeChat.

In 2016 I helped Australia’s first WeChat Pay provider setup in Australia. We helped obtain their Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL), setup their website, branding, policies, operations, marketing. We then setup meetings with leading stakeholders including the major merchant acquirers (banks), retailers and others to implement the system. Today there are tens of thousands of WeChat Pay merchants in Australia.

The Chinese Consumer is key to future growth of global brands:

  • No. 1 online consumer: jumping from 20% to 50% of all global e-commerce sales from 2016 to 2019
  • No. 1 global traveler: 200m tourists spent $500Bn+ in 2019 (up from 200Bn only a few years ago)

WeChat, the Chinese social network is key to getting found by Chinese-speaking consumers.

WeChat – is growing: 1.1 Billion Daily Active Users and of these it accounts for 70% of daily usage. Part of the world’s 5th biggest tech company, Tencent.

No simple, low-cost, online solution exists to register a WeChat brand account and setup a basic site. Not like millions use GoDaddy to register a URL and setup on the web).
